  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 pie crusts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in onions and cook until translucent.
  3. Add flour and stir for a minute, then gradually whisk in chicken broth and milk.
  4. Cook until thickened, then add chicken, peas, carrots, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour the mixture into one pie crust and cover with the second crust, sealing edges.
  6. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
