A rich and decadent dessert that combines chocolate cake with cream cheese and coconut, creating a delightful surprise in every bite.

  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, water, and oil until smooth.
  3. Pour half of the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, blend the cream cheese and powdered sugar until creamy. Spoon it over the batter.
  5. Sprinkle coconut and walnuts on top of the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Pour the remaining batter over the top and spread gently.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let it cool before serving.

Notes

  • Serve warm with whipped cream for an extra treat.
  • Can be made a day in advance and tastes even better the next day.
