  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  3. Add the chopped onions and cook until translucent.
  4. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  5. Add the beef and onion mixture on top of the potatoes.
  6. Spread the cream of mushroom soup over the beef.
  7. Layer the remaining potatoes on top and sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.
  9. Remove foil, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
