A delicious fusion dish that combines the flavors of Korean bulgogi with the classic cheesesteak, featuring turkey bacon for a twist.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup kimchi, chopped
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp gochujang
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 baguette or hoagie rolls

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté onions and bell peppers until soft.
  3. Add the beef, soy sauce, gochujang, and sesame oil, cooking until beef is browned.
  4. Stir in the chopped kimchi and cook for an additional minute.
  5. Place the beef mixture in the baguette and top with provolone cheese.
  6. Broil until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Top with crispy turkey bacon before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the spice level by adding more or less gochujang.
  • This dish pairs well with a side of pickled vegetables.
