- 3 pounds potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Boil the potatoes in a large pot until tender, approximately 15-20 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Add sour cream, cheese, milk, butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the potatoes. Mash until smooth.
- Fold in bacon and green onions.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until heated through and slightly golden on top.
