  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup cooked turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, then stir in the flour to create a roux.
  4. Slowly whisk in the milk, stirring until the mixture thickens.
  5. Add the cheeses and stir until melted and smooth.
  6. Mix in the chopped turkey bacon, salt, and pepper.
  7. Combine the cheese sauce with the cooked macaroni and mix well.
  8. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.
