A creamy and cheesy Southern baked mac and cheese dish that features delicious turkey bacon and chicken ham.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 6 ounces turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 6 ounces chicken ham, diced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and whisk for about 1 minute.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk, continuing to cook until the mixture is thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the cheeses, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt until combined.
  6. Add the cooked macaroni, turkey bacon, and chicken ham to the cheese sauce, mixing until well combined.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.

Notes

  • For a crispier top, broil for the last 2-3 minutes.
  • Feel free to add breadcrumbs on top before baking for added texture.
