  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute, until smooth.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  5. Add the cheddar cheese, mozzarella, mustard powder, and paprika, stirring until the cheese is melted.
  6. Stir in the cooked macaroni and crumbled turkey bacon until well combined.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with breadcrumbs.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown on top.
