- 1 pound elbow macaroni
- 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 3 cups milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper; cook for 2 minutes.
- Gradually whisk in the milk, continue stirring until the mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat and add in the cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add the cooked macaroni and crumbled turkey bacon, mix well.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish and sprinkle extra cheese on top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
Notes
