  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 6 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain.
  3. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk, and cook until the mixture thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in cheddar cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika until smooth.
  6. Add the cooked macaroni and turkey bacon to the cheese sauce, and mix until evenly coated.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
