Indulge in a creamy and delicious Southern baked mac and cheese loaded with turkey bacon and chicken ham.

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup diced turkey bacon
  • 1 cup diced chicken ham
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute.
  4. Gradually add the milk, continuing to stir until the mixture thickens.
  5. Add the cheddar and mozzarella cheese, stirring until melted.
  6. In a large bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, cheese sauce, turkey bacon, chicken ham, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.

Notes

  • For extra creaminess, add more cheese.
  • Can substitute turkey bacon and chicken ham for other meats.
