  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 ounces turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 4 ounces chicken ham, diced
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk and cream, cooking until the mixture thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Add the cooked macaroni, turkey bacon, chicken ham, and seasonings. Mix well.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.

Notes

  • For a crispier top, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end.
  • Feel free to use different types of cheese for variety.
